Required Glass Component

Pivot Donut

  • The Pivot Donut, this is what makes it all possible. In my original design, the 3d printed part just hugged the outside of the Pivot and glass. I overall didn't like. I wanted to reduce the amount of contact with the 3d part. O-rings. This was the answer. Once i found the correct o-rings, i was able to print a part that contained the o-rings. Now the o-rings hug the outside of the Pivot completely and where the glass sits now makes very minimal contact.
  • The o-rings can easily be found at any hardware store. They are number #18 and #15. They are replaceable if they wear out. I didn't want to create more waste.
  • The Donut also doubles as a stand for the Pivot. It makes it wider and less likely to tip over. Easier to reload.

PivotPro Tug Base

  • Originally, the base was a one size for the glass base, but I was concerned with glass variance in dimensions, so I decided to include two base adapters. This will help with any variances as a just in case.
  • The base has multiple openings for the LightBar to show. One up front that I use when I charge the pivot. I will rotate until I see the light show. There are 3 slots on the opposite side that will help when using the pivot to see when the session ends if you miss the vibration. It also looks cool when in Easter egg mode.
  • The base has an open area between the pivot slot and the glass base area. This can hold some items here, a carb cap or qtips would be some options.
  • There is a round 20mm slot that can hold a hotknife, carb cap, other tools, or more qtips
  • The base area where the bucket sits has an open bottom to easily push out the bucket from the bottom.

Tips & Reminders
  • Without the Sleeve the chamber will be hot, do not touch it without waiting for it to cool down.
  • Without the Sleeve the chamber can easily come off if twisted in the opposite direction.
  • When using a Qtip to clean the chamber, clean in a clockwise manner so the chamber does not come off.
  • Always remember to hold from the base, it's designed to hold the Pivot and glass, but it's not a snug fit.

FAQ

How do you easily fit the donut over the Pivot and glass?

  • The best way is to angle the donut and get one side on and put pressure on towards the opposite direction and slip on the donut over the other side of the Pivot. I do recommend putting the donut over the Pivot first, then the glass. The glass goes on a little easier.
  • For fitting the donut over the glass, sit the glass slightly in the donut, hold the donut with the other hand using two fingers, then apply little pressure over the carb cab area until the glass sits snug in the donut.

How should I place the Pivot the base

  • After testing, the best way is to use one of the reverse slots that allow the LightBar to show. This will allow you to see the light as it goes down during a session. There are three reverse slots.
  • When charging I recommend rotating the Pivot to see one of the other slots.
  • Turn on the light and rotate to make it easier to find the slots.

Are the o-rings replaceable?

  • Yes, they are replaceable. Number #18 and #15 at any hardware store.

Which carb cap?

Do other glass pieces fit?

  • This is first designed to work with the Tug 2.0 glass. It's widely available online. I do not guarantee it working with other glass pieces.

How do I remove the bucket from the base?

  • The base is designed with an open bottom and the buckets slot in. To take them out, take everything out of the base and from underneath push up on the bucket itself. The bucket is slightly smaller and you can feel the difference.

What size material should I load?

  • After extensive testing with sizes and carb caps, I recommend a 2 to 3 rice grain size when going on white and Easter egg mode. In my experience, you can load more in this configuration without spillage. That said it can also depend on your carb cap. I bought some longer joysticks to test and because of the size of the Pivot chamber too much airflow am cause more spillage. That's why I recommend the stock tug carb cap. It seems to be about the right size. Please experiment and report back!

Why did you take off the sleeve?

  • Because in this configuration, you do not need it. Most accessories attach around the sleeve or in the chamber. To be honest the sleeve is there for safety in it's original form. Here we don't need it. This tremendously helps with over heating. Fully charged i can get 3 white Easter egg sessions and I can double tap for another extra Easter egg sessions. I've done this twice.
  • So in one session i can start in white, double tap five times to get into Easter egg mode, rip a full session, double tap again, rip, double tap one more time, then it overheats.

Do I need to modify my pivot?

  • No, everything here either attaches or you just remove the sleeve. No need to modify it cut the sleeve.

Should I use water or no water?

  • Personal choice, but try it dry.

Should I leave the donut on the Pivot after a session?

  • After some thinking, i personally complete a session then hold the Pivot with one hand and push up on the glass piece this should slide the Pivot out. Rotate the glass in the base to keep it out of the way. It's best to reduce contact with anything that heats up to be on safe side.

What can fit in the round slot?

  • It's a 20mm round slot. A puffco hot knife will fit or some other hot knife. You can also use it to hold the carb cap or more Q-tips.

How should I reload with the Pivot in place?

  • The easiest way is to take off the glass piece to reload. You can reload from the top with the glass on and carb cap off if you tool is long enough.

Can I charge the pivot while in the base?

  • Yes, the base had an open bottom where the PivotPro sits. You can also place the base and Pivot directly on my MiniStation if you have the Anker battery.

Can I chug or should I sip during a session?

  • It's best to sip especially if you have as long joystick style carb cap. If you have spinner carb, adjust your air flow and experiment.
